Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari Karnataka Projects (SSR Karnataka Projects)

Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari Karnataka Projects was established in January of 2008.  It started with an inquiry of the heart: "How can we help?"  This was in response to a story of poverty and lack of services in rural India and the love and compassion of Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari (Amma) and Her work in Karekura Village in the state of Karnataka.  Travel to the area revealed a rural India lacking in basic services and infrastructure and a people gentle and engaging, seemingly happy with simple blessings and the gift of forebearance for difficulities.

Who is Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari?

Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari is known around the world as "Divine Mother" or "Amma".  Amma is an Avatar in this age and a great spiritual leader in India. Amma has traveled the world with her message of love, tolerance, hope, charity and goodwill.  From Amma's home in Mysore she fulfills her mission through personally overseeing and participating in various community service projects undertaken by the Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari Trust (R).  Their mission seeks to improve the lives of India's poor and disenfranchised.  As part of the many activities undertaken by the Trust, Amma personally prepares and serves food for the villagers in her area,  leads programs for the women's prison and orphanage, directs a "summer school" program for the children and dispenses supplies of food and clothing.  Under Amma's direction the Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari Trust (R) assists with meeting the health care needs of Karekura and the surrounding area.  From around India and the world at large Amma welcomes all to visit her abode to experience the peace and uplifting of spirit which comes from the practice of meditation, prayer and celebration based upon respect and recognition of all religions and spiritual traditions- all faiths as well as an all encompassing yet unstructured faith in Divinity.

We honor this Principal in our name and our affiliation is of the heart.
